We found this place between kapkot to Shayama

Kapkot

During our recent getaway, we stumbled upon a hidden waterfall tucked away in nature’s lap—uncrowded, serene, and stunningly beautiful. It reminded us of the famous Kempty Falls, but without the bustling crowd. As we approached, the soothing sound of cascading water welcomed us. The fall poured into a natural pool with water so crystal clear, we could see every pebble at the bottom.

We couldn’t resist taking a refreshing dip under the fall, feeling the pure mountain water rejuvenate our senses. Surrounded by lush greenery and chirping birds, it was a slice of untouched paradise.

If you’re a nature lover or simply looking for peace away from tourist spots, this secret waterfall is worth the discovery. It’s one of those rare finds that make you feel truly connected with nature—raw, real, and refreshing

🚗 Bageswar Kapkot Sama

  • The road gets narrower and curvier, but the views get even better. Hillsides dotted with tea gardens and pine forests dominate the landscape.
  • In Moram, take a short break to soak in the surreal view of the Himalayan peaks, especially at sunrise or sunset.

3. Seli Sama to Birthi Falls. (Approx. 42 km)

Mahadev Falls, Munsiyari

A Surprise Stop at Mahadev Falls – On the Way to Briti Falls.

While heading from Sama towards the famous Briti Falls in Munsiyari, we stumbled upon a hidden gem we hadn’t planned for. As we drove through the lush green hills, a beautiful waterfall suddenly appeared on the side of the road. Its crystal-clear stream cascading down the rocks immediately caught our attention, and we decided to stop and explore.

We took a few photos, soaking in the natural beauty and calmness around us. Curious to know more about the place, we asked a few locals nearby. To our surprise, they told us this was the lesser-known but incredibly scenic Mahadev Falls.

What made the moment even more special was that, from this very spot, we could see a glimpse of the much-talked-about Briti Falls in the distance — like nature had offered us a preview.

This unplanned stop became one of the highlights of our trip. Mahadev Falls may not be as famous as Briti, but its peaceful charm and stunning setting left a lasting impression. Sometimes, the most memorable moments happen when you least expect them

🚗 Sama Mahadev Falls Brithi Falls

  • This stretch is a hidden gem. You’ll pass through tiny hamlets where time seems to slow down.
  • Birthi Falls, about 35 meters high, is a refreshing stop. Especially after monsoon, the sound of cascading water echoing through the valley is pure magic.

4. Birthi to Munsiyari (Approx. 35 km)

A Refreshing Escape to Birthi Falls

Nestled just a kilometer off the main road, Birthi Falls is a hidden gem that offers a refreshing escape into nature. The waterfall is clearly visible even from the main road, but the real magic lies in taking the short trek to its base. The trail is about 1 km long and takes only 5 to 10 minutes to complete. A nominal fee of ₹20 is charged per person for the trek, which is well worth the experience.

As we approached the falls, the sound of rushing water grew louder, and soon we were welcomed by a stunning sight. Water gushes down with such force that it feels like rain is falling from 100-200 meters above, soaking everyone nearby. Despite the absence of actual rainfall, the mist created around the falls gave rise to a beautiful rainbow—a sight that left us all awestruck.

Birthi Falls is not just a destination but an experience—short, sweet, and soaked in nature’s charm. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to witness this natural marvel up close.

Birthi Falls Munsiyari

While returning from Brithi Falls—located on the opposite side of Munsiyari—we experienced a beautiful moment that added depth to our journey. As we reached the top of a mountain pass, almost midway between Brithi Falls and Munsiyari, we stumbled upon a quaint old tea stall that looked straight out of a bygone era.

Right beside the stall stood a small temple dedicated to Hanuman Ji (Bajrangbali). The peaceful aura and cool mountain breeze made it the perfect spot to pause. We offered our prayers and took blessings from Bajrangbali before continuing further. There was something divine and grounding about standing there amidst the clouds, mountains, and the echo of temple bells.

After the spiritual stop, we grabbed some tea and local snacks from the stall. The warmth of the tea and the simplicity of the place made us feel at home.

With renewed energy and peace in our hearts, we resumed our journey toward Munsiyari. Sometimes, it’s these unexpected halts — a small temple, a quiet tea stall — that become the most memorable chapters of a trip.

🚗Birthi Falls Munsiyari

  • The final stretch is arguably the most breathtaking. The road winds up dramatically with hairpin bends and opens up to expansive views of the Panchachuli peaks.
  • As you approach Munsiyari, the landscape transforms—dense forests, terraced fields, and alpine vibes welcome you to the “Little Kashmir” of Uttarakhand.
